Big Muskie Charters hunts for muskies on the renowned international waters of Lake Saint Clair. Lake Saint Clair is known to produce more muskellunge per hours fished than any waterway on the planet. Average catches range from 1 to 10 fish per charter with some real trophies frequently taken. Our best fish in 2009 was a 53.25" 46.4 lb. beast. Trolling is the method we use to take these monsters. We utilize board rods, wash rods, down rods and a variety of plugs and spinners. Big Muskie Charters supplies all the tackle and will cover a lot of water to put our clients onto trophy muskies. Capt John is a life long resident of the Detroit Michigan area and has fished Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River for 40 yrs. The Captain has operated registered power boats in the state of Michigan since 1978.
The Boat "BIG MUSKIE"
"Big Muskie" prowls the lake with a 26' Shamrock Mackinac hard top Sport Fisherman with a helm head. This craft has a 310 hp. Sea max marine engine with a Yamaha high thrust kicker. The Ocean designed hull with a keel drive inboard supplies a stable dry ride in rough seas. DNR INSPECTED.
